In an interview with Fox News Digital, fertility expert Dr. Alex Robles of the Fertility Center of Columbia considered biologically a pregnancy at this age “very unusual.”
“Statistically, the chances of conceiving after 45 years are less than 5%,” he said.
“In addition, the average age of menopause, in which natural reproduction is no longer possible, is 50 to 55 years of age.”

Robles warned that becoming pregnant in these “extreme ages also raises significant health risks for the mother and the baby.”
