A Chinese couple has been arrested after having sex in the middle of a Thai street.
Oh Zhihang, 67, and his partner Lin Tinging, 35, established a tripod before undressing and recording themselves by making writing in the pavement in Pattaya, Thailand, Wednesday.
The surprised spectators saw how tourists went to the city in broad daylight in view of the public.
The police pounced in the place in southern Pattaya after being alerted by a security guard that had seen the couple having sex on the path near the entrance to the famous walking street.
The guard was able to photograph the couple before leaving, which he later showed the police, according to the Bangkok post.
The officers tracked the couple at their hotel and then took them to the Pattaya City Police station to interrogate him.
The humiliating images show the awkward elevator walk and the ‘shame’ walk ‘of the couple to the station.
Upon arrival, Zhihang said he didn’t know that having public sex was illegal in Thailand.
The man told the police through an interpreter: “I am a photographer who likes to travel the world to take naked photos in several places. I have visited many countries where I have done the same.”
The authorities revealed that the couple expressed their remorse for their actions saying: “I apologize to the Thai people and the officials to damage the image of Pattaya.”
Police Colonel Songwut Chueplakij said the couple would be fined for lascivious behavior and would face up to 10 years in jail if they discover that they have published their content with X classification.
“We have taken both suspects to the investigation officer of the Police Station of the city of Pattaya to obtain more legal actions,” he said.
“The maximum fine is 5,000 Baht ($ 149.24 USD) each for public indecency. They are also being interrogated in relation to the Computer Crimes Law. This fine can be 100,000 Baht ($ 2984.72 USD).
“We ask tourists visiting Pattaya for the next Songkran festival to follow all rules and regulations, remain alert and report any danger sign.”
The shocking act comes a few days after a Russian couple was filmed in sexual acts on a beach busy in the same city.
The amazing spectators reported that the couple seemed to have sex while immersing themselves half in the water.
Pattaya is 100 kilometers from Bangkok and is widely known as a party city.
He is worldwide famous for his vibrant nightlife, including numerous bars, nightclubs, entertainment places and idyllic beaches.
