Lauren Draper, 22, was delighted when she was pregnant with her fourth son in June last year.

Lauren was already being closely monitored due to a high -risk pregnancy, after going through a spontaneous abortion in 2022.

He had experienced polyhydramnios with his first child, now seven, but was only collected at 38 weeks.

This time, the doctors of the round noticed that it was a problem at 24 weeks and that the liquid still increased at 29 weeks.

The doctors realized that little Olyve did not swallow the liquid, causing the accumulation in Lauren’s uterus.

In December 2024, Lauren had steroid shots to try to help mature Olyve’s lungs and was admitted to the hospital.

He spent three weeks there before going labor at 34 weeks and four days.

But when Lauren began to sprout, the blood doctors realized that he was having a placental detachment and that it was urgent for an emergency caesarean section.

He could see his little girl seven hours later, after losing five liters of blood.

Lauren said: “They said that when he was born he wasn’t breathing.

“She was blue. It was horrible to listen to him.

“Seeing her in an incubator, it was horrible.”

Little Olyve is still fighting in the hospital, fighting with respiratory failure, but Mother Lauren has all the faith that she will go through.
