The influencer Ju isen insisted that the easiest way to avoid unwanted attention has been to slide the false finger on his finger, before leaving his house.
The Brazilian beauty, which has 2.6 million Instagram followers, claimed that the male suitors would approach it wherever it was: the gym, the supermarket, the pharmacy and even its local pool.
“I was tired of the constant approaches, it was without stopping, even when it was clearly not interested,” said Isen, who is currently single, to Needtoknow.
“So I put on a simple ring in my left hand, and it was like hitting a mute button,” said the 39 -year -old.
The false-affection for affection acts as a sign for these men that it is not available.
“Even if it is not real, it is a deterrent element of being addressed,” he explained. “It has worked for years. It is visible enough to prevent people from approaching me.”
He added that as soon as he started using a ring on his finger, the boys began to look at her differently, and now “they think twice before saying something.”
“It has influenced how they treat me in places like the gym or bars,” he professed.
Isen once recalled that she was in the pharmacy when a boy began to make a little conversation with her, but her behavior changed when she saw the ring.
“He asked me if I was married, I just smiled, and he said: ‘I have it, I’m sorry,” and he left, “he shared. “It was respectful and I could maintain my peace.”
The model and influencer said that she began using the ring on her finger when she was only 23 years old, and has now become part of her routine.
“It’s not about deceiving anyone, it’s about establishing limits. It is a quiet way to say: ‘I am not available for this type of interaction,” Isen explained. “And the most interesting part? It still works.”
While he still uses the ring to this day, he took a break a couple of years ago, although he noticed that the attention of male perspectives was not as strong as before the break, something that he thinks has to do with the increase in appointment applications.
“The men of today no longer have the initiative they ever had. It is as if they were demotivated,” he observed. “Even the bad collection lines that used to bother me have become rare.”
Isen said “technology killed the flirting.”
“Today, everyone only awaits a game in an appointment application. Nobody makes visual contact, nobody gets close naturally. And that makes relationships feel more empty and mechanical,” he said.
Anyway, she continues to use the ring to avoid flirtatious men, and do not miss attention.
“At least not that kind of attention,” he said. “I prefer peace, if a man is really interested, he will have to go beyond the obvious. And if I am also interested, I will only explain that I am not married.”
