Talk about a blatant beauty tip.
Tiktok offers a lot of ingenious ways of omitting a sizzling iron in its braids, from braids and rollers to tunic socks and belts, all in the name of curls effortlessly, during the night and without heat.
But this spring, Tiktok’s beauty enthusiasts are raising the eyebrows changing harmful hair tools, for underwear?
The creator @zoreandtomek recently left Mavens on the popular social platform in a Tizz, after he filmed wrapping his hair stacked around a thong like a headband, placing the ends to form an imitator and then sleeping in style.
In the morning, the Beautytokker removed the perfect thong of his hair and revealed loose and inflatable curls with a finish similar to a mermaid, to the surprise of the spectators, who are now jumping to the trend.
The @jazrabarnes user went to the application last month to try Thong’s trick too, writing: “When Internet says that he puts underwear in his head to curl his hair during the night, he listens.”
In his clip, the beauty vlogger showed the spectators how to secure the tanga in the head with a scrunchie on the back, then intelligently slid a silk hood to block the appearance during the night.
In a follow -up video, he confirmed that the trick worked in fact, calling it a “really good solution” to curl your hair when traveling or something like that “, especially if you have extra clean underwear in your suitcase.
He also recommended “fog” every strand of hair with water before twisting (not too tight) around the thong, and cutting any loose piece in place with barretas.
The creator @abbyylouuuu also told a similar success story, subtitling a recent video by testing the Thong Curls method: “Consider this your reminder to put your underwear in your head and wake up with perfect curls!”
If you prefer bikinis to thong, @zoreandtomek also showed the trick on Instagram wearing swimming funds, wrapping its recoil horse tail around a trimmed pair while sunbathing, and the revelation of soft waves and siren.
The trend follows at the viral moment of 2023 by Pamela Anderson, when he revealed British Vogue how he always keeps a G-String in his Stella McCartney bag, and uses it to tie his iconic 90s bun.
Whether you are turning a thong in the curls or using one to hold a Updo, abandoning hot tools is a great victory for their threads, as Shape told Shape the New York Brandi Voorhees stylist.
“The main benefit of curls without heat is the general health of their hair. Over time, hot tools can cause breakage, dryness and damage,” he told The Outlet.
The hair fan also pointed out that curls without heat (either created with a thong or other element in their closet) are “definitely the strongest option when it comes to the health of their hair”, instead of a curly.
“Although heat style can be a faster and faster method, with continuous use, it can damage the cuticle,” he warned.
For optimal results, Tanga curls work better in humid hair that remains for “3 to 7 hours.”
Just make sure everything is dry before removing underpants, or any heatless tool, if you want the waves to last, Voorhees advised.
