His “despicable” collection was worth it.
The collection of an Australian woman of 1,035 different pieces of Minions Merches recently earned her a worldwide guinness record.
Liesl Benelke began to accumulate henchmen, the small yellow henchmen that star in the “Dispicable Me” franchise of Universal, 15 years ago when the film was released, and could not stop.
“I remember that I laughed so much from the beautiful and small henchmen in the form of pills. I was certainly impressed by a great impression,” he told The Outlet.
“My daughter says that I need another house just to store my henchmen, but I love being surrounded by her beautiful yellow smiles,” World Records told Guinness.
“They are in each room and on each spare wall … The back of my car is full of henchmen and when I stop at the traffic light I see people pointing and laughing at all the henchmen of my car.”
Benecke, who was given the nickname of “The Minion Lady” for his coworkers, now has the world record of the largest collection of minions memories.
“I’m just a big child with heart. Since then, I’ve always been looking for minions wherever I go.”
Its Minions collection, gathered from places such as Singapore, Japan, Italy, the United States, Portugal, Taiwan and China, includes clothing, movie posters, stuffed dolls, keys, figures and even a tattoo.
“My favorite is Stuart, the Sassy, a minion with an attitude of an eye with attitude, and he is the one that I have tattooed on my arm. Many people and children comment on the tattoo and we begin to talk about our mutual love for the henchmen,” he continued.
“Stuart is my largest luxurious toy and it looks great in the back seat: it is fun to see people’s reactions when they stop! He uses his seat belt so that he is safe and likes to leave.”
Benecke’s obsession with creatures even led her to travel to Singapore to celebrate her birthday in Universal Studios with the Minions.
“My daughters said that I never saw myself happier that day,” he recalled.
He also traveled to Minion Land in Universal Studios in Osaka, Japan, and his daughter captured the moment he cried when he entered the park.
“People laugh when I explain my obsession and say they don’t understand or ask if my children are the ones I collect,” he told The Outlet.
“The henchmen are my source of happiness and their strange and strange forms never stop making me laugh.”
His friends and family also help her build her Empire Minion.
“They send me photos when they go shopping asking ‘Do you have this?’ And if I do not, I make me buy it, you could say that they are my minion buyers, ”he explained.
The self -proclaimed “minion snob” is selective from which it acquires.
“I just buy the henchmen that I like,” he said.
“Some henchmen look better than others for me.”
